CarboCore’s talc offering connects Egyptian mineral resources with industrial formulation requirements. A naturally occurring hydrated magnesium silicate, talc is valued for its softness, platy structure, and functional properties across plastics, paints, rubber, ceramics, and paper applications.

Grade selection considers chemical composition, whiteness, particle-size distribution, and compatibility with the customer’s manufacturing process.

Fineness & Grade Selection

Particle size is specified against the intended application. Final technical approval should establish:

D50 and D97: Median and upper particle-size values.
Sieve residue: Maximum retained material at the agreed sieve aperture.
Moisture: Agreed maximum for processing requirements.
Oil absorption and bulk density: Grade-specific measured values.
Mineralogy and asbestos testing: Supporting laboratory results with test methods and detection limits.

Quality & Documentation

Request a TDS, SDS, and batch-specific COA for the proposed grade. Mineralogical and asbestos test documentation confirmed during qualification.

Packaging & Supply

Specify preferred bag weight or jumbo-bag format. Packaging, palletisation, container loading, and shipment timing confirmed with order quantity.

Selection Note

CC-Talc 70, 80 and 90 are specified by sieve residues; their names do not represent verified D97 values. Final selection should consider particle size and measurement method, oil absorption, colour, dispersion and finished-product performance.

The industry applications are established talc uses; the specific CarboCore grade assignments above are proposed evaluation starting points.

Applications are indicative and subject to the selected grade’s chemical composition, particle-size distribution, surface treatment and processing characteristics. CarboCore’s technical team supports customers in selecting the appropriate grade for their formulation and manufacturing process.

Food, feed, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, medical and potable-water applications require separately evaluated and approved grades. Compliance should not be claimed unless the relevant certification and regulatory documentation are available.
